Here are some other resources from writers and scholars that speak to women's role, power and blessings in God's plan.  They are written by faithful members of the church who have researched and/or pondered these things.

Valerie Hudson is a noted writer who was recently published in the Ensign with an article on Equality in Marriage.  She taught Political Science at BYU for 25 years and now teaches at the Bush School of Government in Texas.  She is a very faithful Latter Day Saint.  She is a passionate advocate for women and children and has some fascinating insight. She has co authored an excellent book; Women in Eternity, Women in Zion a few years ago.  Valerie runs an online journal that has great thought provoking articles.  Sometimes she writes under her maiden name of Cassler.   Within that journal you can find just about everything she writes on.  Two great ones in particular can be found here:

Her online journal is www.squaretwo.org

Another great online resource that speaks and writes to defend Mormonism.    http://www.fairlds.org/

BYU Studies is full of articles and many can be downloaded free at https://byustudies.byu.edu/

There have been some beautiful articles written in the past few years in the Journal of Mormon History by scholars who have researched healings that were done by Relief Society women and the evolution of that.  Also a great article about Women at the Gates of Mortality (Relief Society Birth and Death Rituals).  They are very instructive for further study and thought.  If for some reason these links don't work for you, let us know and we will just put the reference for you to look up. You can find the Journal of Mormon History down at the Church History Library and probably most university libraries.  You can also access some things online digitally with it.
